My name is Lee Abbott, and along with my wife and five dogs, we are the proud owners of Flight Level Kennels LLC in Jefferson City, MO. From my first experience hunting over a German Shorthaired Pointer, it was obvious this was the breed for us, and our dogs have exceeded our expectations in every way. We own four Shorthairs and one golden retriever that we rescued, and all of our dogs live in the house with us.

In addition to our ‘regular’ jobs, I also manage our family’s Angus cattle farm. We fluctuate between 100-140 head of cows and calves at any given time, so life is busy all of the time.  When we committed to this, our goal was to better the breed. We are very proud that our first litter earned a Natural Ability Breeders Award from the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA). Our breedings are carefully planned and thought out. We look for qualities in stud dogs that complement our females and we work closely with some great breeders throughout the Midwest. I believe you have to be humble enough to know what you don’t know, but smart enough to work with breeders who share the same values for breeding, and we are blessed with the relationships that we have with some outstanding kennels.
