It’s hard to put into words when describing Chief. We didn’t have the fortune to develop Chief as a puppy. Chief came into our lives when he was 17 months old after the breeder bought him back from the original owner. Chief had a host of issues that were not known to anyone at that time, but he has since pushed through them. Of the four GSPs we own, Chief is far and away the best. ​

​Chief is a direct son of VC Jacob vd Westwind MH. We are so lucky to have a Jacob son. To this day, Jacob continues to influence breeding programs through frozen breeding. Chief acquired the best of Jacob. Size, stature, and calmness describe Chief. Chief truly is one of a kind in physical makeup, power, and disposition. His littermates excel in testing and hunting, and through patience and building confidence, Chief has made tremendous strides in becoming the dog he was born to be. He has a naturally high water drive and doesn’t pass up the chance to search a body of water. Once on game, Chief kicks it into high gear. We are excited to see what 2024 brings for him.
