We had no intention of keeping a puppy from our first litter, but then there was Jett. Although born first, Jett was the smallest in the litter and we immediately fell in love with him. We originally held him back from selection, because we wanted to make sure that he had the opportunity to catch up to his littermates and continue developing. It became clear that we were not letting go of him. His sweet demeanor touches every heart that he meets.

​Jett represents what our breeding program seeks to produce. Calm, quiet, and loving dogs that are enjoyable to live with and to hunt with. Without embellishing, Jett is truly content laying on the couch, but when it’s time to go to work, he is all business. Jett hunted with his sister, Bernie, in South Dakota at five months old. That experience allowed him to make mistakes and learn. Jett is very cooperative, requiring minimal handling. He is bold but understands the importance of checking in with me.

​Jett’s happy-go-lucky attitude puts a smile on your face. He loves to retrieve, he has a great prey drive and loves retrieving in the water. I am very excited to see his development as we advance to utility testing and AKC Master Hunter testing
