"PEARL”, SHOW ME THE WORLD IS HER OYSTER, NA 112, PRIZE 1

Born – April 19, 2019

OFA Hips – Good

OFA Elbows – Normal

Weight – 54 pounds

It all started in 2019 when we got Pearl. She is both driven and sweet all rolled up into one. From the first time that she hunted in South Dakota at six months old, she has proven herself to be an exceptional wild bird hunter. What’s true is that Pearl does not play the planted bird game well, and she learned quickly about wild bird behaviors and that they do not let you get away with anything that a pen-raised bird will. To see her figure that out on her own and steady up was impressive, to say the least.

There is no quit with Pearl. She is a long-legged dog that allows her to cover ground effortlessly without tiring, and she requires minimal handling. Her normal range is 65 yards, and she regularly checks in. One of my favorite things about hunting with Pearl is that she hunts for the entire group. She doesn’t favor me; it’s all about finding birds. Her enjoyment, if not enthusiasm for hunting, has been past off to her offspring. Feedback from her owners makes a breeder smile because those dogs are fulfilling two parts of the owner’s lives; a great family member and a great hunting companion. Six out of nine of her puppies tested. Four earned prize 1’s, one prize 2, and one prize 3, earning that litter a Natural Ability Breeders award.

Pearl’s natural prey drive translates to a desire to retrieve on both land and water, which makes her a very formidable versatile hunting dog.
